Every year students at PAGT participate in a variety of Field Trips. Field trips are particularly important for gifted students, as they provide students with unique opportunities that level the playing field. One of the biggest advantages to field trips is that they allow students to have a real-world experience. This experience should clearly illustrate and enhance information taught by the curriculum. Each experience that a student participates in contributes to their understanding of the world. When students leave the classroom, they see the connections between what is happening at school and in the ‘real-world’.
Some places we have been to are The American Museum of Natural History, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The New York Hall Of Science, Stirling Mines, Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, The Meadowlands Environmental Center, The Paterson Falls, Broadway, Jenkinson's Aquarium & Waterloo Village to name a few.
